Just Another Coffee Company?

OK – so we get it. There’s a lot of coffee out there – does the world really need another coffee company? Here’s why we think that there might just be room for one more… 

“One rainy day, I was sitting drinking a delicious cup of coffee, pondering the fact that most coffee nowadays claims to be fairly traded, ethically sourced and so on. Which is great, and a far cry from the bad old days when coffee farmers were routinely underpaid by large corporations. There’s something very gratifying to see a commodity like coffee blossoming into something that is becoming known for helping people make a living. Then I started thinking… what if coffee could help people closer to home as well?” 

 So, in 2023, The Reson8 Coffee Company was born, selecting and selling premium quality coffee with a promise to donate at least 10% of profits to deserving causes around the UK. 

Fast forward to 2024, and we have become known for our delicious blends and fabulous single-origin beans. This has always been a labour of love, and we’re always on the lookout for our next big step, then it hit us – we love coffee, so why not combine it with our other great passion… music? And what kind of music? Well, we’re guitarists at heart, and where there’s a guitar, the blues are not far away! 

“Blues music was created by African-Americans in the United States in the late 1800s, and developed throughout the 1900s. The blues is several things: a feeling, a form of music, and a genre. “ 

So, we went back to the drawing board and developed new blends and branding that reflect our love of coffee and great, guitar-based blues. The results are Chicago, Delta, Memphis – the very soul of the blues, and the perfect blends of Arabica beans that we think you’ll love. And to prove that this isn’t just a gimmick, all the guitars featured on our labels are actually owned – and played – by us! But there’s more – we’ve set up a series of curated playlists on Spotify (every pack of coffee has a QR code linking to a playlist). These playlists are updated every month and reflect our favourite tunes, classics and new discoveries.
